I cannot believe that it has been an entire month since I posted anything here. Maybe the question is "Where did the month go?" but in fact, I have been away too. We had old friends from Santa Fe, New Mexico visiting us for about 2 weeks, and we actually did go away with them to Wales. It is just as pretty there, with its clean beaches, rocky coastline, historic castles (we loved Pembroke), farmland and narrow, winding roads, as I remembered from my last trip there 19 years ago. We stayed in a cottage near Cardigan, had the most fantastic hot, sunny weather anyone could wish for on a holiday and met some lovely people. We also relaxed; so much so, that neither Brian nor I was moved to open the laptop. Nearly 800 unopened emails later, I am getting around to writing my blog. Do I feel guilty? Not one bit. Life is for living and my writing is a product of that. If anyone wants a recommendation of a good place to stay in Mid-Wales, drop me a line.
I haven't left everything on the back burner this past month. I am thrilled to report that the Miscarriage Support Group that I am running on behalf of The Miscarriage Association is now up and running. This has been a project in the making for several months now, as I attended an Advanced Training Day in March, began liaising with local maternity units in April and advertising that the group was beginning. We meet again on Thursday, July 2nd and would love to have you along if you are interested in meeting other women who have had similar experiences with pregnancy loss. Contact me directly at lisa.marsh@yahoo.co.uk for details, or phone The Miscarriage Association at 01924 200799.
